The Roar of ’24 – A Tribute to Buddy Rich
Considered one of the most influential drummers of all time, Buddy Rich was an American jazz drummer, songwriter, conductor, and bandleader, known for his virtuoso technique, power, and speed. TJO drummer Pete Siers pays homage to the legend with arrangements made famous by Buddy Rich himself.

The Great American Songbook Pt. 2
Performing in Toledo for more than 54 years, singer-songwriter and Toledo favorite, Ramona Collins brings more tunes from the Great American Songbook to life with the Toledo Jazz Orchestra. The Great American Songbook consists of enduring standards, the songs that are played and sung over and over by multiple generations. These songs have a timeless meaning and resonance, whether they are days or decades old.

Sessions @ Lucilles - Birthday Celebration for John Blaufuss
Join us at Lucille’s inside of TolHouse for the weekly “sessions” with Gene Parker and Damon Cook to honor the birthday of John Blaufuss. Special Guest this week will be Johnny Johnson on Guitar.

A Swingin' Christmas Returns!
Introducing Toledo native and jazz vocalist April Varner. Born and raised in Toledo, April began taking voice lessons at the University of Toledo at age 8. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies from Indiana University's Jacob School of Music and Master's degree in Jazz Voice from the Manhattan School of Music. She currently lives in New York City where she is actively arranging, composing, and performing in jazz clubs all around Manhattan. She recently released her debut EP entitled "Hummingbird" available on all streaming services. April joins Andrew Bishop and the Toledo Jazz Orchestra for A Swingin' Christmas Returns!
Andrew Bishop is a versatile saxophonist, clarinetist, flautist, composer, improviser, educator, and scholar comfortable in many musical idioms. Dave Lynch of All Media Guide wrote, “A composer of contemporary orchestral and chamber music, Bishop combines a jazzman’s fire and flow with a rigorous compositional sensibility, resulting in a potent and highly satisfying blend.”

Season Opener: TJO with Branford Marsalis
Saxophonist and three-time Grammy Award winner Branford Marsalis makes a special appearance with the Toledo Jazz Orchestra on their Hartmann Bogan Jazz series opener. [Cited as a Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts, Marsalis crosses stylistic boundaries while maintaining an unwavering creative integrity.]

Art of Art – Tribute to Art Tatum
Larry Fuller, piano
In addition to being acclaimed for his virtuoso technique, Toledo native Art Tatum extended the vocabulary and boundaries of jazz piano far beyond his initial stride influences and established new ground in jazz through innovative use of reharmonization, voicing, and bitonality. Toledo native Larry Fuller (piano) joins the Toledo Jazz Orchestra.
